A very new model, with a more dynamic and technology than its predecessor. But we all know that Porsche has many variations of your 911, and here we go with one of the most anticipated. Not surprise anyone if I say that one of the most legendary models in the world of high performance sport, is the Porsche 911. And the new version we saw last year, confirmed what we suspected: a big update, aesthetics and mechanics that is a step forward for one of the most legendary Porsche models. In fact our car became a week, and the variants are gradually making an appearance, as usually done Porsche.

Both models will hit officially presented during the upcoming Paris Motor Show 2012, and share the same engines that were already existing versions 911 and 911 S. Thus, the 911 Carrera 4 and 4S will have the same 3.4-liter boxer engine and 3.8 liters, capable of delivering about 350 hp (and 350 Nm of torque) and 400 hp (and 440 Nm of torque) respectively. Yes, the consumption of both six-cylinder engines have improved over previous versions by 16%, and are somewhat larger than that of the current 911 and 911 S, ie: 8.6 l/100km for the Race 4 and 8.7 l/100km for the Carrera 4 Cabrio. In the case of Carrera 4S is 9.1 l/100km and 9.2 l/100km for the Carrera 4S Cabriolet. And is that Porsche is very committed to improving consumption and introducing new hybrid models in the future.

Another aspect in which is enhanced to achieve this improvement of 16% in consumption over the previous generation, has been the thinning of the 911 Carrera 4 and 4S. Thus, thanks to the new chassis has been reduced to 65 kilos in weight versions Coupé (reducing to know Cabrio versions). A great effort by Porsche, as all integral versions are penalized about 50 kilos due to the AWD system. Furthermore, the width of the rear axle has been increased by 22 mm, and each rear wheel has to turn a section greater than 10 mm to allow for better grip.

Improvements inside these new Porsche are very sensitive. On the dashboard, these versions have a new integrated indicator which informs of the amount of torque that is distributed to each of the four wheels. And the new versions will be accompanied by new elements to be introduced in the remaining 911 as the new speed control with radar adaptive cruise, which also comes with a system for avoiding collisions at low speeds and possible abuses.

It also begins to offer a glass roof for the 911 CoupĂ©, and from now on, the gearbox PDK dual clutch made with double clutch heel tip in the reductions. The prices of these versions in Germany (taxes included), start from € 95,775 for the most basic version of the 911 Carrera 4 Coupe, and culminating in the € 125,046 for the 911 Carrera 4S Cabrio, with all the options at hand. A model that may be requested from the Paris Motor Show.
