Renault Clio 5

Renault has confirmed it is considering re-produce one of their most legendary models, the Renault 5. This would complement the supply of compact cars of the French brand, and would be a step beyond the Twingo, without reaching the level of Clio.

A source confirmed the diamond mark this interest in giving new life to one of the vehicles that have circulated over our streets and ceased production in 1996. The same source claimed that the Renault 5 would have to bring innovations in technology and stay one step ahead of the Twingo:

We are seriously considering bringing back the Renault Clio 5 to support. To be a reliable car would have to offer more than a Twingo. That would mean that it should not be just a good dynamic, would have to introduce the notion of the revolution that the 5-door entered the market in 1972, both in terms of technology and positioning.

Personally I love that Renault will be encouraged to bring life back to the Renault 5. I think if the French car manufacturer designs a good strategy to not cannibalize sales of the Clio or Twingo.

The picture accompanying this post is a design made for Coach, but the end result could be very similar. What you seem to be the return of this mythical our roads?
