Volkswagen Golf 2013, official photographs of the seventh generation

And finally the Volkswagen Golf7 2013 has arrived! Throughout the years we have grown with the Golf, we've seen it evolve and grow and we have seen almost without realizing we have planted at the gates of what will be the seventh generation.

As all the news that you're bringing, and will continue to arrive, the new generation Golf7 has prepared presentation to the world during the Paris Motor Show, but the Germans have decided to put on and remove the camouflage scene and we could see a couple of weeks. And what we have under that camouflage is a mild restyle, without much fanfare but at first glance reveals differences with the current model.

The front received a new hood over his lines outlined in giving way to the new optical group with the same essence as the current but smaller, giving it a more aggressive look. The new front bumper houses a new fog lights more discreet, besides having a lower air intake that emphasizes more than double the previous model thereby reducing the size of the center.

At the rear also receives changes reflected in the new tailgate and a new bumper that somewhat reminds me carrying the VW Golf Mk5. Nor should we forget the rear light cluster with LED lights and a more aggressive cut as with the front.

Now putting us on the technical side include slimming diet which Volkswagen Golf Mk7 subjected to, thereby reducing their weight up to 100kg on the outgoing model thanks to the redesign of the air conditioning system, seats or the body itself. Besides serving to get a car lighter, this weight reduction allows the new Golf is a car more efficient and more responsive.

Once mounted inside we realize that we have some more space by increasing its length in 56mm and 59mm its battle in 15mm more legroom for those who are in the rear and 30 liters capacity its trunk.

As for the interior design does not have too many surprises, as the new VW Golf7 still retains the classic features that precede combined with some modern touches that will put up to competition and the rest of the brand new models.

The engines available once you get to the market will be two petrol engines 1.400cc which generate turbo powers 85c.v. and 140c.v. the latter being the more interesting since come equipped with Start & Stop and also generates better fuel consumption than 85c.v. oddly enough. In the other two diesel engines will power 105c.v. and 150c.v. An offer will be increased after spending a few months since its release.

Notably, the new Golf7 will be the first car with four-cylinder engine to use a system to shut the cylinders, which occurs when the power system is between 1,400 and 4,000 rpm with torque or up 85Nm.

And for now this is what we have, we will have to wait a little longer for availability and prices for the Spanish market, stay tuned because we will soon know.
